Our policy on workplace bullying and harassment addresses the importance of human sustainability. We always strive to create a relaxed, fun working environment where everyone feels inspired to do their best every day. We maintain these relationships with various social events throughout the year and eating lunch together once a week. We have services for mental health and general wellbeing available for our staff, as well as professionals in various industries coming in to listen to everyone and help with other queries, such as finances and housing.
Economic sustainability is vital for small businesses, it helps companies grow and is resilient to potential rises in prices. We are contributing by using local suppliers and local businesses for produce. This will continue to rise as new products are discovered and trialled. It is important to preserve the economic environment for future generations. We use better quality products, meaning our product is better, and it lasts longer. We will buy second-hand furniture and office supplies, keeping our shopping circle small and prolonging the life of a lot of things, giving money to local people instead of big businesses.
Environmental sustainability is always improving, and as a company we have changed so much and developed new company policies to help us become more environmentally friendly. Creating a cycle to work scheme has helped employees make more sustainable choices about getting to work. We have placed recycling bins throughout the building and are developing a composting scheme. We are in talks about changing suppliers and products from plastics to bio-degradable materials. As we grow and develop our businesses and lead the way in a new industry, we are developing a range of products made from scraps and offcuts, reducing the amount of canvas that is going into landfill.
As a company, we are dedicated to always improving. We will adapt and change as new ways to be better are presented to us. It is paramount to treat these four pillars of sustainability equally.
If one is lacking, none of them will come together.
