Here at C&J, we think sailing is up there as one of the most enjoyable sports; there is nothing quite like the fresh sea air flowing through the cockpit, some gentle (or crazy!) spray from the waves and the joy on your crews faces that makes it such a great pastime. However, with most vessels being produced from fibreglass or wood, it is known that boats are not always the most comfortable of transport options!
We believe it is important to ensure there is sufficient comfort on board, and therefore we have a solution for everyone! Whether you are a competitive single-handed sailor, enjoy a trip away with friends and family, or simply popping down to watch the sunset from your berth; comfort in the cockpit is a must-have this season.
Our cockpit cushions are usually designed with a thickness of 50mm and tailored to the curves and slopes of your cockpit. We add two small tabs to the front edge of the cushion to attach onto snap fasteners for security.
We offer two popular foam options; a firm open cell upholstery foam for customers who are most likely to get their use from the cushions in good weather, and a reticulated foam for when the cushions are likely to be left outside in rain or used on lengthy journeys with regular exposure to water.
Many customers like to be consistent with their new cushions and match the colour to existing canvas goods on board. If that is your thought, we offer over 50 traditional acrylic canvas colours to choose from; from the two most popular manufacturers of canvas; Sunbrella and Sauleda.
Alternatively, if you are looking for something with a pop of colour or a stripe, let us know; we can work together to find the perfect fabric to suit your vision!

Self-Templating
You can order one of our self-templating kits for a small cost on our online shop. The kit comes complete with full instructions. You then simply send the patterns to us, commit to an order and the cost of the kit will be credited to your account. You can find a link to our kit below:
Self Scanning
Another option is a 3d scanning app on a mobile device. This is fairly new technology and we are using this method ourselves with some great results! We can supply you with our own IPhone* pre-loaded with the 3d scanning app and a tutorial. The data can then be uploaded to our account ‘in the cloud’ and immediately validated by one of our designers. If this option is of interest to you contact us now!
